"Salvation IS For Jews Too!"

                                              "Salvation IS For Jews Too!"

"16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." - Romans 1:16, KJV

Did you know the Word of God calls Israel and the Jewish people the Apple of His Eye?

Zechariah 2:8,

8 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye

God's will is that ALL men will be saved and the ONLY way is through Jesus Christ!

John 14:6,

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Acts 4:12 says,

"12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

Romans 10:9-13,

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

This, friends is what it means to be saved.  We ALL must repent of sins (all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God).  We must confess that Jesus through His death, burial, and resurrection has redeemed us from eternal punishment.  We are then sealed and filled with His Holy Spirit.  If you believe on Jesus, trusting Him with your life He promises to save you.

There are over 360 Messianic prophecies, and many were fulfilled in Christ's first coming! Here's but one example,
Isaiah 7:14 tells us, "14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel."
   Immanuel means, "God with us".

Matthew 1:21-23 confirms Isaiah's prophecy!

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Not only does the Bible tell the New Testament people they must be born again,

John 3:3,5,

3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

But He was talking to a Pharisee, Nicodemus, a Jew!  Nicodemus knew of Jesus and befriended Him.  Nicodemus knew the Old Testament scriptures well.  He knew well that Jesus was He who was prophesied to be the Messiah.

John 3:7-10,

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.9 Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things?
Let me begin with a bunch of Scriptures from the Jewish Tanakh (The Old Testament)...

Joel 2:32,

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call.

Micah 5:2,

2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

Isaiah 53:4-12,

2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. 8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. 9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.10 Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand.11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Isaiah 64:5,

5 Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

Isaiah 26:3,

3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Ezekiel 33:12,

12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth.

Ezekiel 18:4,

4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Ez 36:26-28,

26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.
Habakkuk 2:4,

4 Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

Genesis 15:6,

6 And he believed in the Lord; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

Leviticus 17:11,

11 For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul

Psalms 11:7,

7 For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

Psalms 49:8-9,15,

8 (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)9 That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
If you are a Jewish brother or sister and have not yet accepted Jesus as your Saviour, I encourage you to do so now.  If you do, please let me know (my contact info is below).  I love my Jewish brethren, and it is my wish you also come to Christ as much as God does!

God Bless You,

"Prophetic Implications Of The 7 Feasts of Leviticus 23"

"Prophetic Implications Of The 7 Feasts of Leviticus 23"

Since beginning in my call to ministry, I have read and studied the Bible - Old and New Testaments.  As I read through the books of the law (the Pentateuch), I found myself saying, "yuck!" at times (mainly when reading about how the animal sacrifices were to be prepared and carried out).  BUT, I read such things as the Tabernacle (see my post on The Tabernacle) and the feasts and noticed that these were meant for believers today as much as back in Moses' time!

So, then, what do the feasts mean?  Let's look at each of the 7 feasts in Scripture and see how they may be applicable to our lives as believers.

PASSOVER (PESACH)

Leviticus 23:4-5,
4 These are the feasts of the Lord, even holy convocations, which ye shall proclaim in their seasons.5 In the fourteenth day of the first month at even is the Lord's passover.

1 Corinthians 5:7,
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:

Exodus 12:1-14,
1And the Lord spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt saying, 2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house: 4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening. 7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. 9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire. 11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the Lord's passover.12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the Lord throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.

Moses commanded the people to select a young male lamb without spot or defect, and get this, the lamb was to have NO BROKEN BONES!!!!  (1peter1:18-19; Jn19:44).  We know the story of the first passover, now we see also that Jesus was our Passover Lamb!  He shed His blood for us so death, hell, and the grave would be defeated for all who receive Him!

UNLEAVENED BREAD

Leviticus 23:6
6 And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the Lord: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread.

Deuteronomy 16:3-8,
3 Thou shalt eat no leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life. 4 And there shall be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. 5 Thou mayest not sacrifice the passover within any of thy gates, which the Lord thy God giveth thee:
6 But at the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt.7 And thou shalt roast and eat it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents.8 Six days thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly to the Lord thy God: thou shalt do no work therein.

Matthew 16:11-12,
11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees?12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees.
Luke 12:1-2,
In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy. 2 For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known.

1 Corinthians 5:6-8,
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Galatians 5:9,
9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.

Leaven (hebrew, chamerz) in Scripture represents sin.  Moses commanded the people to search the area in and around their homes, removing ALL leaven from their homes.  They were only to consume unleavened bread for one week! We are called to remove ALL leaven from our life.  Take the time to repent of sins and reflect on Jesus sacrifice, our PERFECT atonement.

FIRST FRUITS

Leviticus 23:10-12,
10 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest:11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the Lord.

1 Corinthians 15:20,23
20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 23 But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.

This is a time to stop and think of all God has provided for you, as well as all He has brought you through.

WEEKS (PENTECOST, SHAVUOT)

Leviticus 23:15-18,
15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the Lord.18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the Lord, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the Lord.
Deuteronomy 16:9,
9 Seven weeks shalt thou number unto thee: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as thou beginnest to put the sickle to the corn.

Acts 2:37-42,
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers
Ephesians 2:14-15,
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace;
Why two loaves, two SEPARATE loaves?  Perhaps, as we see in Acts 2, salvation and the Holy Spirit came (comes) for both Jew and Gentile!  This is a call to the Christian to reflect on the resurrection, and through this we ALL can be saved!  (Yes, even the Jewish people are to be born again!  You will see in my next blog!)

TRUMPETS (ROSH HASHANNAH)

Leviticus 23:23-25,
23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation. 25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18,
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

1 Corinthians 15:52,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

This begins the fall feasts.  It is a time for Christians to reflect on the coming rapture!  The Jewish rabbis teach that all God's people were written in the Book of Life on this day!

ATONEMENT (YOM KIPPUR)

Leviticus 23:26-32,
26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord. 28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. 30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. 32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

Zechariah 12:10,
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Romans 11:1-6,25-36,
I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin. 2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel saying,3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life. 4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace. 6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the father's sakes. 29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: 31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. 32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

To "afflict your souls"  is to take a time to take inventory of your sins and then repent of them.  Take time to reflect on Jesus, the scapegoat, the perfect lamb, who took our sins upon Himself as our sacrificial lamb, our final ATONEMENT!  AMEN!!!

TABERNACLES (SUKKOT)

Leviticus 23:33-37,
33 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. 36 Seven days ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: on the eighth day shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord: it is a solemn assembly; and ye shall do no servile work therein.37 These are the feasts of the Lord, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:

Micah4:1-7,
But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. 2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. 3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them afraid: for the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever. 6 In that day, saith the Lord, will I assemble her that halteth, and I will gather her that is driven out, and her that I have afflicted;7 And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and the Lord shall reign over them in mount Zion from henceforth, even for ever.
This is a time of the time of Jesus' promise of His imminent return when He will dwell (tabernacle) with His people forever (Rev 21-22)!

"The Tabernacle"

This is one of the things I have truly enjoyed studying from the Bible over the years.  The tabernacle is so intricately designed by God and carefully constructed by men.  The tabernacle in the Old Testament has such relevance to the Christian desiring fellowship, the closest possible relationship, with God today!  I pray you are as excited and in awe as I first was (and always will be!) you read what I have discovered about the Tabernacle!

The Tabernacle
Exodus 25-31 and 35-40

The Outer Court

·         150 ft. x 75 ft. with a sheet of fine white linen enclosing it
     ·         Had ONE entrance to get inside, in the East side (John 14:6)
     ·         The entrance had a 30 ft. multi-colored curtain
b·         When one entered, their back was to the sun (many worshipped the sun
             god back then.)

 Just inside the Outer Court:

 Altar of Sacrifice

      ·         Made of wood covered in bronze (in Scripture, bronze=judgment)
     ·         The inner part of the altar (the wood part) was not visible
            - The Cross

Then, the:

Bronze Lavar

        ·         This holds the water for cleansing

At the far end of the Outer Court, there is a tent, containing two rooms:

The Holy Place (Inner Court)

·         Measures 15 ft. x 15 ft. x 30 ft.
     ·         Inside the Holy Place (once one passes through the curtain separating it from
the Outer Court), there were three pieces of furniture:

                                1. The Altar of Incense

·         Prayer- Revelation 5:8; Exodus 30:8; Luke 18:1
                                    ·         Prepared especially for God, not a blend for men- James
                                               5:16

                                 2. The Golden Lampstand

·         Was to be kept burning at all times
                                    ·         One lampstand, seven branches, or arms- Revelation 2-3?
                                    ·         As our testimony (and that of the Church- ablaze all the
                                               time!)

                                3. The Golden Table of Shewbread

·         Always held twelve loaves of bread- twelve tribes- Matthew 4:4

The Holy of Holies

o        An even thicker curtain separated the Inner Court (Holy Place) from the
                    Holy of Holies- Hebrews 10:20
o        Inside was the Ark of the Covenant

Ø      First the cover was the Bema Seat, or Moses Seat (Judgment)- this is
where God sat then and now
Ø      When you take the lid off (of course, those who did died,) inside was:
                                   1. The two stone tablets containing the Ten Commandments
                                2. A golden pot containing some manna
                                3. Aaron’s Rod (which blossomed)- Numbers 16-17

Ø      Upon the lid, the High Priest (the only one allowed into the Holy of Holies) could enter once a year on the Day of Atonement to offer the blood sacrifice (blood was sprinkled on the Bema Seat.)

Note: All Israelites could enter the Outer Court- only priests could enter the Holy Place (Inner Court), and only the High Priest could enter the Holy of Holies- once a year!

The Tent

   §         Total measurements- 45 ft. x 15 ft. x 15 ft.
The Holy Place- 30 ft. x 15 ft.
The Holy of Holies- 15 ft. x 15 ft.
§         Constructed of acacia wood and overlaid in gold (man and God?)
§         Each board rested on two legs (for stability)
§         Each board rested side-by-side, without gap (closeness between
                    believers and God?)
            §         The Four Coverings:

             1.  The innermost was of fine white linen with an intricate design woven into it
            2.  The second layer was goat skin (Christ our scapegoat)
            3. The third layer was a ram skin, dyed red (Blood - Atonement)
            4. The outermost was badger skin (the reproach of Christ? See Hebrews
                  13:13, and  Hebrews 10:19-20

The Tabernacle and the Christian

Ø      The outer court- forgiven by God
Ø      The inner court- serving God
Ø      The Holy of Holies- fellowship with God

§         Sadly, most Christians wander into the Outer Court without drawing closer
to the Inner Court or the Holy of Holies.

“Draw nearer to me and I shall draw nearer to you” - James 4:8

§         Our body, soul (mind), and spirit as a tabernacle- I Thessalonians 5:23
§         Lastly, interesting to mention is the dress of Aaron (High Priest)- 3 parts:
                  1. A tunic of fine white linen
                  2. Over the tunic, a blue robe, which had bells and figurines of
pomegranates which hung from the bottom
                  3. Then, over the blue robe he wore and ephod (a multi-colored apron)
                         which had three parts:
                           a. two shoulder plates bearing the names of the twelve tribes of
                                  Israel
                           b.  a breastplate containing the twelve stones representing the
                                   twelve tribes of Israel
                           c. the urim and the thummim placed in a pocket of the ephod

Note: When the High Priest would enter the Holy of Holies he would enter wearing only the first layer (white robe) and he would dress before going before his congregation…
God asks us to come to Him as we are, He will do the rest!  We were initially intended to fellowship with Him and He with us.  As you picture the tabernacle, picture your Christian journey.  As a new believer, we enter through the only entrance (Jesus) into the outer court of belief.  As we fellowship and are sanctified and regenerate, growing in faith through knowledge gained in God's Holy Word, the Bible, we approach and enter the Holy Place (Inner Court).  As we walk, grow, and become mature, God wants the closeness and fellowship we can only experience with Him in the Holy of Holies.   Where are you now?   Where would you like to be?

"There Will Be False Teachers...."

                                    "There Will Be False Teachers...."

Wow!  I was on my way to bed last night when I received a question regarding a widespread false religious system known as "ChrIslam".  When I had explained another person rebuked me for calling it heresy and the individuals who propogate it heretics, antichrists, and false teachers.  I was rebuked and reminded how God is only love and we are not to be hell fire preachers who cast stones.
I went immediately to my KJV and a sermon I'd preached years ago to put this blog together today.
Friends, fellow brethren in the Lord, my peers in the ministry, False Teachers are out there - more and more today.  Jesus repeatedly says, "beware lest any man deceive you...".  He wants us to not only be aware of these people, but know which ones they are.  Then we are to warn others against following them.  I may be rebuked and persecuted for such, but I love the Lord and His people, and will continue speaking against and calling out "false Christs", "false teachers", "antichrists" (John calls these people, and even "believers" in his own church believing and speaking lies - anti Biblical messages).....

According to 2 Timothy 4,

"I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Who Is A False Teacher?

Deuteronomy 8:19-20 -
19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the Lord thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.20 As the nations which the Lord destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the Lord your God.

How Do We Know He Is One?

De18:20-22 -
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.  21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken? 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.

Not only do False Teachers Damn themselves, They Take With Them all Who Follow after them, and hear and believe their words, False Teachings.  We, as ministers of the Lord need to be careful what we speak and teach in His Name.  We, as Christian believers, need to make ABSOLUTE certain what we hear from our teachers is BIBLICALLY ACCURATE.

Jeremiah 14:14 -16 -  14 Then the Lord said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.15 Therefore thus saith the Lord concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

1 Timothy 4:1 - 2 - Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;
2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;

Colossians 2:8 - 8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

Where Will They Be Found?

AMONG BELIEVERS...IN THE PULPIT...IN THE CHURCH!!!!!

2Peter2:1-4 -  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

Jude 4 - 4 For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

Matthew 7:15-20 -  15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Matthew24:5, 11 -  4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.; 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

How Do We Respond To False Teachers?

Publicly

1 Timothy 3:15 - 15 But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.

1 Timothy 5:19-20 - 19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses. 20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

Sometimes we really want to like our teachers and pastors, but Scripture states clearly that we are to expose all false teachers, showing no favoritism!!!

1 Timothy 5:21 - 21 I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality.

Flee Them!

John 10:5 -  5 And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

1 Timothy 6:3-5 -  If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness; 4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, 5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

2 Timothy 2:20-21 - 20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Are We To Call Them Out?  If so, How?

Yes, Expose Them!

Ephesians 5:6-7,11 -
6 Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. 7 Be not ye therefore partakers with them.11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

Not Only Is It OK To Name Names, We Are Told To And The Writers Of The Epistles Did So Themselves!

2 Timothy 1:15 -  15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

2 Timothy 2:15 -18 -  15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness. 17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

2 Timothy 3:8 -9 -  8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.  9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.

2 Timothy 4:10 - 10 For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

2 Timothy 4:14 - 14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:

3John 9 - 9 I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not.

Who IS the Ultimate FALSE Teacher?

2 Thessalonianians 2:3 -9 - 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

Revelation 13 also describes well who this is, Satan, and his Antichrist!!!

Discernment is key.  Then be bold in the faith.  Take a stand for Jesus Christ.  DO NOT LET ANYONE PERVERT THE BIBLE AND DECEIVE OTHERS...DO NOT BE DECEIVED YOURSELF.  DO NOT BE A FALSE TEACHER/PREACHER!!!

I encourage you to contact me ANYTIME for prayer, further questions, etc.

"Sin - Man's Heart Condition"

                                   "Sin - Man's Heart Condition"

What Does God Consider To Be Sin?

Romans 1:29-31 - Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Galatians 5:19-21 - Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 5:3-7 - But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. Be not ye therefore partakers with them.

2 Timothy 2:12 - If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:

Who is Guilty of Sin?

Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

What Is To Become of Sinners?

God Lets them go on in their sin, He wont force anyone to come to Him!

Romans 1:28 - And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Romans 3:16 - Destruction and misery are in their ways:

Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Can My Sinfulness Be Corrected or Am I Doomed?

1John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Psalm 32:5 - I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the Lord; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

What Happens To My Sin?

Psalms 103;12 - As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

I LOVE praying Psalm 51 as my prayer of Repentance!

                   Psalm 51

Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.  Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.

We All were or are sinners, we don't have to stay that way.  Repent (confess your sins and turn away from doing them) and accept Christ as your Saviour today - right now.  For tomorrow may be too late.  Jesus is the way the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father but through Him!  Ask Him into your heart and your life.  Ask Him to guide you through His indwelling Spirit and His Word.

Sinner can be the former you Saved can be the new you! That choice is yours!
